Athletes from these championships will be invited to compete in the Schools Inter County event, the MASON TROPHY, in Birmingham the following weekend, 19th July.

The team for the ENGLISH SCHOOLS in GATESHEAD, 10th and 11th July 2004, will be selected on Sunday evening 20th June – districts may send one representative to assist with selection.

 

Selection Policy  is based on the following criteria:

 

1      Athletes gaining National or Entry Standards in the championships are likely to secure a place in the team

2      The team will then be supplemented by athletes gaining standards at the Mason Trophy event

3      If any places remain, other league or championship performances may me taken into consideration
